There’s a lot of investment lingo out there. Do you ever feel like you don’t know where to start? Let's tackle two of the most basic investing types you should know: Stocks and Bonds
Let’s start with Stocks.
When a company needs money to expand or grow their business, they can sell stock to the public. In exchange for that money, the INVESTORS (the people who buy a stock) now “own” a piece of that company. Investors can make money on stocks by buying them when they have a lower value and selling them when they have more value. Investors can also make money by sharing in a regular payout from the company to its shareholders, something that’s also known as DIVIDENDS. Not all companies pay regular dividends, but when they occur, dividends and changes in share price are both part of total return, which is your total gain or loss on an investment.
What about Bonds?
When you buy a bond, you are actually loaning money to a company, government, or government agency. The money is typically used for things like construction and other projects. During the life of the bond, an investor gets paid interest at steady, predetermined times. Interest is basically the money you are given by the borrower in return for lending them the money. At the end of the loan’s life, the borrower returns the money you initially lent them. You can trade bonds in the market, just like you can trade a stock. Bonds are considered less risky investments than stocks, but they also typically have lower total returns.
So what did we learn?
A Stock: A share in the ownership of a company
A Bond: An interest-earning loan you make to a company or government.

This is a momentum indicator used in technical analysis, which compares the stock's closing price to its price over the course of a particular time frame. During an upward trend in the market, a stock's share price will close near its high (highest price traded), and when in a downward-trending market, the security's price will close near the low (lowest price traded). A video that covers the basics in Stock trading and charting, What is a chart? What is a moving average, What is a trend line and how to draw one. a the basics of support and resistance.
1. Binary options — the world’s easiest financial instrument. They allow traders to profit from price movements across all the world’s markets
2. There are only 2 types of transactions you can make with binary options: CALL and PUT.
The IQ Option platform allows our traders to make investments starting from just $1. The rate of return can be adjusted, that way losing trades will return a defined percentage into the trader’s account.
3. Call – Option for rising prices. If you believe the price is about to go up, choose this option.
PUT – Option for falling prices. Buy this option when you expect the price to decrease.
If you see on the chart that the price isn’t rising or falling, that means that right now there’s a “neutral trend.” In this case, it’s best to hold off on buying this option. Consider choosing a different asset to invest in.
4. Never invest more than 2% of your capital in a single option. This is the golden rule for any investor. This way you can manage your investing without losing your head...or your money
5. If 60% of your transactions end up “in the money” then you will be consistently profitable, and you may gradually increase your investment amount.
6. In order to improve the quality of your results, use technical & fundamental market analysis.
