All too often people are used to getting rid of old staffs, not thinking that they can be given a second life. An old hard disk drive can be useful as a fossil)) I mean if you take it to pieces, you can find lots of useful such as expensive and powerful neodymium magnets, rustless steel washers, nuts and so on. All of that will one day be useful for your DIYs. My piece of advice to you is to hold back getting rid of old staffs because one day you may need it. Along with that it doesn't cry and ask for food. That's why put it into a box untill better times.
